About the project
A two-storey new-build dwelling in Luton.
The main challenge was the foundation design, as there were trees close to the site. The foundations were designed to NHBC requirements for building near trees.
As the soil conditions were unknown, a beam and block ground floor was chosen to allow for a worst-case scenario such as ground heave.
